Police are investigating an accidental death in Trempeleau County.
The county sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a call Friday evening that a 75-year-old Arcadia man was missing and had been out cutting wood earlier that day. The sheriff’s office said they found the man later that night several hundred yards from his truck.
First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators say he showed injuries likely sustained from a tree falling on him. Police said no foul play is expected.
