Officials in three counties in the Northwoods are asking people to stay away from their vacation homes.
Leaders in Ashland, Vilas and Oneida counties say the community transmission of the coronavirus across the state influenced their decision. They say the healthcare infrastructure is limited in the area and those who might be coming up to vacation homes could be carrying the virus.
Officials ask that people stay in their home area.
