About 40 people in Whitehall are out of a job as another western Wisconsin frac sand mine is closing its doors.
Hi-Crush told the state of Wisconsin recently that it is closing the mine in Whitehall. Between 35 and 40 people will lose their jobs. Hi-Crush says the ‘decreased profitability in shipping sand’ is to blame for the mine’s closing.
