A west-central Wisconsin native has been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.
La Crosse’s Aquinas High School graduate Rudy Rott was selected in the ninth round of the draft yesterday by the Philadelphia Phillies. Rott batted .382 with ten homeruns and 47 RBIs in his senior season in college at Ohio University. He’s also won two Mid-American Conference player of the year awards.
