A motorcyclist is dead after hitting a dog in Vernon County.
The sheriff’s department says Michael Long was on Highway 35 in the Town of Bergen Saturday night when he hit the dog, causing him to be thrown from his bike. Long was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unknown if the dog survived.
