The folks who want tourists to drive into and around Wisconsin say a new poll shows plenty of support for fixing the roads.
The Association of Wisconsin Tourism Attractions on Friday said its survey shows 90 percent of people asked said roads are important to the state, and that 60 percent of people want to see the roads in Wisconsin improved. The association says just about half of people they asked would support raising the state’s gas tax. The tourism association says quality roads in the state are needed to drive Wisconsin’s tourism economy.
