Wisconsin Republicans are not backing away from Governor Evers’ promised veto of their 14-week abortion ban. The State Assembly held a hearing on the plan yesterday. Republicans want to let voters weigh-in on what the state’ abortion law should be. Democrats yesterday picked at the specifics of the proposal, and said it would limit choices for women. Many pro-life advocates and lawmakers said Wisconsin should go back to its pre-Roe abortion law that banned almost every abortion in the state.
