A new Forbes Advisor Study says Wisconsin ranks 40th in the US for E-cigarette usage. Wisconsin is tied with Maryland and Florida for the third lowest increase in vaping among adults between 20-16 and 20-22. The study also found that nationally E-cigarettes are used by 11-percent of people in Generation Z.

Abortion Ban Referendum Approved in Assembly

A 14-week abortion ban referendum has been approved in the Wisconsin Assembly. The bill, which was pushed forward by a vote of 53 to 46, would send the ban to the voters if it passes. The proposal does include an exception for medical emergencies. Eleven Republicans voted against the bill. It will now move through the Senate, and then to Governor Tony Evers desk if approved again. Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry announced that the outdoor skating rinks and warming shelters at Boyd, Roosevelt, Pinehurst and Putnam Heights are closed for the season due to the warm temperatures and unsafe ice conditions. Death Investigation Underway In Taylor Co.

On January 24, 2024, at 1:19 p.m. the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident at the intersection of Winter Sports Road and Spruce Lake Road in the Town of Grover, Taylor County.
