Gov. Evers Rejects Three of Four Tax Cut Bills

Governor Evers has rejected three of the four bills making up a 2-point-1-billion-dollar tax cut package.

The fourth bill is still on the table and Evers has been on the record giving positive remarks about it. Evers pointed to the financial irresponsibility of the bills that would have gutted the state’s rainy day fund and would have resulted in the federal government looking to recoup funds distributed under the American Rescue Plan Act. Evers has previously vetoed tax cuts last year that he said only helped Wisconsin’s richest.
