A 14-week abortion ban referendum has been approved in the Wisconsin Assembly. The bill, which was pushed forward by a vote of 53 to 46, would send the ban to the voters if it passes. The proposal does include an exception for medical emergencies. Eleven Republicans voted against the bill. It will now move through the Senate, and then to Governor Tony Evers desk if approved again.
