Attorney General Josh Kaul today announced a $350 million national settlement with Publicis Health to resolve investigations into the global marketing and communications firm’s role in the prescription opioid crisis. Another Decade Added to WI Man’s Sentence

A Wisconsin man who has been on the state’s Most Wanted list three times is sentenced to another decade in prison.  Kenneth Twyman, who is already serving 35 years for murder, was sentenced again for drug and weapons charges. He pleaded guilty in October to distributing cocaine and heroin with a machine gun in his possession. His added sentenced will be served at the same time as his current sentence — once it’s complete, he will be eligible for parole.

New Online Option for Reporting Illness

There’s a new way for people in Wisconsin to report illnesses they suspect could be from food or water. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says the online questionnaire takes fewer than five minutes to fill out. The answers will help local health departments find sources of contamination. It will be ready just in time for Wisconsin’s expected wintertime spike in norovirus cases, which it says is the leading cause of vomiting and diarrhea.

Kwik Trip on 1223 E. Wisconsin St. in Portage knows something about big wins when it comes to Wisconsin Lottery tickets. The retailer sold a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket for the Wednesday, January 31 drawing. It is the seventh winning ticket of $25,000 or more sold by the store in the last seven years and the second time the location sold a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket. Charges Filed in Deadly Crash

Five people are looking at charges after a deadly motorcycle wreck in Rice Lake. Prosecutors filed the charges this week. Investigators claim Tyler Baker was drunk when he crashed his motorcycle back in August. Four other people are charged with either lying to authorities or leaving the scene of the crash. The D.A. says Baker refused to do anything to help the person who ended-up dying in the crash. He’s facing 25-years in prison if convicted.
