 We are waiting for more information about a weekend stabbing in Eau Claire. Police say it happened yesterday in the 200 block of East Truman Avenue. There are no details about who was stabbed or who did the stabbing. Eau Claire Police simply say the stabbing was an isolated incident, and said last night that there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

We’ve got a better sense of just how powerful last week’s tornado in southern Wisconsin was. The National Weather Service says the storm produced two tornadoes. One was an EF-1 in Green County, and the other was the EF-2 tornado that touched down near Evansville. That storm destroyed a couple of buildings, overturned farm equipment, and according to neighbors, killed four cows. Forecasters say the twisters were Wisconsin’s first-ever tornadoes in February.

The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the downtown area of Eau Claire. On arrival, Engine 2 and Battalion 1 found a detached garage on Main Street on fire with a second garage situated closely behind it. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the second garage. Crews searched both structures and worked to salvage items for the home owner.  No injuries were reported.
