On Sunday March 3rd the Eau Claire Fire Department responded to 2900 Block of Uranus Ave for a reported structure fire. While units were enroute dispatch advised the house was full of smoke. Truck 8 was the first arriving unit on scene and reported smoke was visible from the front of the structure. Wis-DOT says it will take a couple of years to remove and replace the pavement on I-94 from Otter Creek to Mallard Road, resurface the I-94/US 53 interchange, and widen the I-94 bridge over Otter Creek among other things. Anyone 16 or older can participate and volunteers can sign up for as little as a single shift. If they are younger than 16 when signing up a parent or guardian will need to do so for them.
