Senator Bernie Sanders is encouraging Wisconsinites to get out to the polls this November.  Sanders was in Wisconsin and our area brining his messge to around 650 people stood in the rain in Stevens Point Friday to listen to the Vermont independent decry what he called the nation’s broken and corrupt campaign finance system and the influence of big money interests.  He said that confidence in government is declining at all levels and that working people are feeling the pain.

Longtime Brewers Announcer Passes Away

Robb Edwards, the former longtime Brewers’ public address announcer and local radio host has passed away.  Edwards died earlier this week but his death was announced Friday afternoon.  A moment of silence was held for Edwards before Friday’s Brewers-Cubs game at American Family Field.  A well-known name in the Milwaukee area, Edwards was the public address announcer from 1998 to 2019.

Warrant Issued in Case of Stolen UTV

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Alex Shearer for theft of an UTV after the Ridgeland Tractor Pull that occurred on Memorial Day weekend. The UTV has been recovered. Colorado Man Charged with Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child in WI

Attorney General Josh Kaul and Wood County District Attorney Craig Lambert today announced that James Lane, age 52, has been charged with one count of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child for incidents that allegedly occurred between September 1, 2002 and December 31, 2003. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has struck down a ban against a western Wisconsin abortion protester. The liberal-majority court yesterday unanimously agreed that a Trempealeau County judge’s ban that kept Brian Aish away from the abortion clinic in Blair is a violation of his First Amendment rights.
