H2NOOOO…the water is putting a pause some projects around here and your morning dog walk could mean soggy paws. Flooding in Eau Claire is closing trails and delaying city construction. Work on the Haymarket Plaza and Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge has come to a halt as weekend storms have the waters of the Chippewa River quickly rising. Once the water recedes, work will also continue on a wall between the river and plaza to prevent future flooding.

The suit was filed in Eau Claire County Court on Thursday.
