10.16.2018 A nationwide AMBER Alert is in effect as deputies search for a missing teenage girl after her parents were found dead inside their Barron home. Officials say autopsies have been scheduled for 56-year-old James Closs and 46-year-old Denise Closs. Authorities are continuing the death investigation, but the main focus is locating 13-year-old Jayme Closs, the couple’s teen daughter-she is not considered a suspect in the deaths and they fear she may be in danger. Read MoreAn Eau Claire man is facing charges after being accused of stealing from his employer. 20-year-old Trevor Link was charged Friday with the theft of more than 28-hundred dollars. The criminal complaint say the owner of the Corner Store gas station in the Town of Washington began noticing money and items missing from the store. Surveillance video allegedly shows Link taking items from the store without paying and taking money from the till.

Fire fighters say they were recently dealing with a gas leak at a building near Murray and Jackson Streets when 39-year-old Sara Gordon barged in and began shouting at them.
