Eau Claire hospitals will soon have to list their standard prices online. Medicare is requiring all hospitals to post the prices online starting January 1st. The hospitals must also make electronic medical records available to patients. HSHS Sacred Heart and Mayo Clinic Health Systems say their websites will be ready tomorrow.

Jeremiah Shimshak, a computer technician at The Mac Guys, says he believes the thieves are part of an international ring because the merchandise had been tracked to overseas. Earlier this year, the store at 40 Copeland Avenue was robbed of 60-thousand dollars in merchandise. The store is currently exploring options to bolster its security.

The Leader-Telegram reports 45-year-old Jay Conklin pleaded guilty to the charge earlier this week after a criminal complaint claimed he had sexual contact with the girl as many as ten times. After his prison sentence, Conklin will spend ten years on extended supervision and be a lifetime registered sex offender.
