Baraboo police are investigating a report of threats made in the aftermath of a controversial photo involving boys from Baraboo High School. In the photo it appears most of the young men are giving a Nazi salute. That has been disputed as being the boys were asked to wave for the camera. As the investigation continues into that incident, cops today are following up on threats allegedly made by email, phone and voice messages to many members of the community.

Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Pederson was charged yesterday with two counts of strangulation and suffocation and one count of endangering safety and taking a vehicle without permission after a woman says he repeatedly beat her from June to October this year.
