A familiar friendly face…that white hair, black rimmed glasses, and always the enthusiasm…of course it was The MENARDS GUY! The Wisconsin pitchman for Menards for more than two decades has died.  Ray Szmanda died Sunday at his home in Antigo. He was 91-years-old.

We could soon be seeing more yellow. Those hoofing it around our DOWNtown, may notice more while looking UP as pedestrian safety is being improved in Eau Claire. The city has been putting down yellow squares and rebuilding intersections and crosswalks to indicate when a pedestrian has the right of way. You will also notice new sidewalks, and crews are also installing a crosswalk signal system at the tricky intersection of Earl and South Farwell streets.
