Senator Tammy Baldwin says she’s bringing a woman battling MS to tomorrow’s State of the Union address. Baldwin says today Diane Whitcraft was taking the same medication for more than 23 years when prescription costs jumped to a point she could no longer afford. She stopped taking the medication in 2017. Baldwin says she’s heard from countless Wisconsinites who can’t afford the medications they have relied on for years and Whitcraft is an example that lower prescription drug costs are necessary.

Haugen resident Curtis Strand will stand trial on June 17th on a first-degree reckless homicide charge in the death of Haeven Strand-Dostal in 2017. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, troopers stopped a vehicle driven by Salina Goodwin and Crystal Oquist on Interstate-94 yesterday afternoon for a traffic violation. A K-9 then led the troopers to a duffel bag that allegedly had about seven-and-a-half kilograms of meth in it. The two were arrested and a four-year-old in the car was placed into human services care.
