Read MoreMilwaukee, Miami, and Houston are waiting for the Democratic National Committee to decide where it will hold its 2020 convention. DNC Chairman Tom Perez was expected to select the city to host the convention by the end of February, but is still considering the logistics of the event. Each city is continuing to put forth its best efforts to convince Perez that their venue will be the best choice. Perez hasn’t indicated when a decision will come.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide says the Teton County coroner has identified Dale Laedtke as the victim found buried in an avalanche yesterday afternoon. Laedtke was snowmobiling with three friends when the avalanche was triggered. He was reportedly buried for five minutes before he was found and CPR was started.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says a 16-year-old, 13-year-old, and 12-year-old arrived at a Mini Mart in Luck on snowmobiles Sunday afternoon. They then attempted to rob the clerk but someone in the store stopped the robbery until police could arrive. The 16-year-old was put into a detention center and the other two were released to their parents.
Read MoreA new Snow Event is in effect in Eau Claire. The new Snow Event began at midnight last night and will last until five o’clock Thursday night. In addition to the Snow Event, the city says residents can expect alternate-side parking rules to stay in effect for at least the next two weeks while crews continue to remove snow. A new Snow Event will have to be declared every three days to keep the alternate-side rules in place.
