WI MAN “ROSE” TO THE OCCASION

A Wisconsin man’s small rose garden that he initially dedicated to his late wife is now a major attraction.  Bus loads of tourists come to visit 81-year-old Doug Amon’s garden in Delavan.  He planted the garden in 2005, shortly after his wife lost a long battle to breast cancer.  He said over the years the garden has grown to house over 400 bushes and he has even adorned the area with a waterfall, gazebo and other features.

RYAN VS. TRUMP

President Trump is slamming former GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan.  Speaking at the White House today, Trump called Ryan a “baby” who didn’t know what he was doing.   Ryan was quoted in a new book being very critical of Trump.  Trump said the Wisconsin Republican was a no-talent Speaker who lost the House to Democrats.  In his new book, Ryan calls Trump narcissistic, divisive and uneducated about government.

THE PUMP WANTS YOUR TWO CENTS…

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Wisconsin is up two-cents-a-gallon from a week ago.  Triple-A says the average price statewide is two-dollars-and-72-cents today, a nickel below the national average.  Drivers in Eau Claire are paying the highest average price at the pump at two-84-a-gallon.  The lowest average price is posted in Appleton at two-63 for regular gas.

FATAL CRASH IN SIGEL

Just a bit after 2:30 on Thursday afternoon the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dump truck vs minivan crash, with injury, at the intersection of STH 27 and CTH MM in the town of Sigel just south of the Village of Cadott, WI. GUILTY PLEA LEADS TO JAIL FOR MENOMONIE MAN

A Menomonie man is pleading guilty in a Dunn County drug and sexual assault case.  Reports say Timothy Carl took a plea deal yesterday and pleaded guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault and two drug charges.  He was accused of pressuring a woman to smoke meth and then sexually assaulting her afterwards.  He’ll serve four months in jail with work release followed by two years of probation.

EC MAN SENTENCED AFTER DEALING METH

An Eau Claire man is going to prison after being convicted of selling meth to an undercover informant.  Police say they found drugs, money, and weapons in Kirk Stassel’s home after he sold meth three different times.  Stassel pleaded no contest to five charges last month.  Yesterday he was sentenced to nine years in prison followed by ten years of supervised release.
