NFL wide receiver Jordy Nelson is retiring from football. Nelson was released by the Oakland Raiders after one season. He spent ten seasons catching big passes for the Packers and ranks third in franchise history in receptions, second in touchdown catches and third in 100-yard receiving games. The Packers tweeted out their thanks along with a clip of Nelson’s touchdown catch to open the scoring against Pittsburgh in Super Bowl 45.

The Black River Falls Fire Department responded to the fire in the Town of Komesky around 11:30 last night and firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the roof when they arrived.
