By Morgan McCarthy | July 8, 2019

Even as Wisconsin dairy farmers leave the business, they are not leaving their land.  A new report says the price of farmland in the state is steady.  The University of Wisconsin says farmland is selling for about 43-hundred dollars an acre, that’s up about eight-percent from five years ago.  Researchers say even though dairy farmers are getting out of the dairy business, they are not getting out of farming altogether.  That is helping keep the supply of available land small, and the price higher.

OH NO TO VETOES?

By Morgan McCarthy | July 8, 2019

Critics are questioning the Governor’s partial vetoes on the state budget.  Democratic Governor Tony Evers made 78 partial vetoes to the state budget which was passed by the Republican controlled state Legislature before he put his signature on it.  With those vetoes, he was able to allocate 87-million-dollars more to spend on K-12 school district aid than Republicans wanted.  That move has left some people feeling uncomfortable with the amount of power Evers has with his veto pen.  But, Evers
