A member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents has resigned.
Gerald Whitburn announced his immediate resignation Thursday, meaning Governor Tony Evers will get to choose his replacement. Whitburn was appointed by former governor Scott Walker in 2011 and was in the middle of a second term that would’ve lasted through 2025.
