School kids at Chippewa Falls Middle School will be back in class as normal this morning. School leaders say everything will be back to normal today, after a threat paused the school day yesterday. Chippewa Falls police say they don’t believe the threat was ever real or a danger. Superintendent Heidi Eliopoulos says they take all potential threats, even fake ones, seriously.

That judge yesterday paused the December law that banned Evers or Attorney General Josh Kaul from withdrawing the state from the Obamacare lawsuit. The judge says lawmakers overstepped when it comes to the separation of powers. It’s the second time a judge has paused the Republican reforms.

Evers was in Fond du Lac this morning meeting with officials and taking a tour of a private home. The governor then headed to Darlington in southern Wisconsin to check out the impact of flooding there. Flood damage is already costing local governments at least two-million-dollars in response cost and damage to infrastructure.

The Winona Fire Department says an adult man was found inside a home in the 100 block of 8th Street after the fire early yesterday morning. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were dispatched to 275th Avenue in Holcombe Sunday morning when they found 22-year-old Carissa Kasmeirski unconscious. Kasmeirski died on the way to the hospital and police say drugs were likely in her system. An autopsy took place yesterday to determine what drugs they were but the findings haven’t been released.
