WI BUDGET BATTLE CONTINUES

WI BUDGET BATTLE CONTINUES

The fight over Wisconsin’s surplus isn’t ending.

Governor Tony Evers yesterday vetoed the Republican-backed plan to spend about 250-million-dollars of the surplus on a tax cut. The governor wants to spend the money on public schools.

Evers says he’s willing to compromise, but said he will not accept anything from Republicans that doesn’t spend more money on special education and mental health education across the state.
