Governor Tony Evers’ office says even one day’s worth of emails is too many to turn over to reporters. The governor’s office is dealing with the blowback after denying a request from a Milwaukee TV station to see his emails. The station first asked for a month’s worth of emails, then a week and finally a day. The governor’s office says without narrowing down the request, they can’t turn over the emails because there are simply too many.

Police say one person was hospitalized with burns and another person was treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Jeroe Pomeroy, who is from Appleton, was arrested Saturday after police say he crashed into two parked cars in the Village of Pigeon Falls, in Trempealeau County. No one was hurt.
