There is a confirmed case of chronic wasting disease in Dunn County. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources last night talked with hunters and conservationists about what comes next. DNR says the deer was found just outside of Menomonie. It is the second confirmed case of CWD in a wild deer after the 2019 hunting season. DNR says there are also positive CWD cases in Eau Claire County. They are working to see if there is a connection.

State Senator Andre Jacque pushed the idea after someone in his part of the state was caught molesting a horse. Anyone convicted of having sex with an animal would face a maximum of 12-years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender.

The commission, earlier this year, told election clerks that state law requires them to mail two ballots to voters for the April primary. The Election Commission yesterday reversed that idea. Now, only Wisconsin voters that are overseas or in the military will get two ballots. Everyone else will get one.
