The hope, at least right now, is to have kids in Chippewa Falls schools in their classrooms this fall. The school district released its Roadmap to Reopening yesterday. The plan calls for in-person classes, unless that’s not possible. There will be some changes, including a mask requirement for teachers and a mask recommendation for students, socially distanced classrooms, and no field trips. That’s a steep drop from April when unemployment topped 14 percent, and from May when the jobless rate in Wisconsin was over 12 percent. The state’s Department of Workforce Development says businesses added almost 100 thousand private sector jobs last month.
