Trump Plans Trip to Janesville

A fundraiser invitation indicates President Trump will have a rally in Janesville.  The invitation says the president will hold a VIP reception before his speech at an event on Saturday.  Details have not been released.  The president had a trip to Janesville planned two weeks ago but he was admitted to the hospital for coronavirus treatment.

WI Voters Urged to Register

After years of investifation, a Bloomer man was arrested for charges includeing Criminal Damage to Property. A motrocycle crash injures 2 in Buffalo County. WI Overflow Hospital Slated to Open

An overflow hospital at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds is opening this week. Coronavirus cases in the state continue to grow and the 530-bed facility has been on standby since April. Governor Tony Evers activated the use of the facility last week after the number of hospitalizations tripled in the state. Officials say Wisconsin National Guard troops will act as nurses when patients begin arriving on Wednesday.

Gas Leak Caused Street Closure

Chippewa Falls police say an area near Island Street and Willow Street is open again after a gas leak. Police asked people to avoid the area last night while crews worked to fix the leak. They say the situation is resolved and the area has reopened.

Tourism is down 20-percent in one popular Wisconsin county. The Door County peninsula is seeing the decrease from the coronavirus pandemic, but there are still outdoor leisure activities people can enjoy. The U.S. Travel Association estimates that tourism nationally is down 45-percent this year.

Wisconsin’s coronavirus numbers have gone-up over the weekend and to start a new week, we will look at a variety of statistics.
