Bucky Plans to Bounce Back

The hope is that the Wisconsin Badgers will be back on the football field this weekend. Athletic Director Barry Alvarez yesterday said he hopes the coronavirus is under control enough to allow the team to play Michigan on Saturday. The Badgers missed two games because of a coronavirus outbreak on the team. Alvarez says just two players and three coaches are still battling the virus. Only one player has tested positive this week.

WI Continues to Fight COVID-19

After shattering the one-day record of COVID-19 cases on Saturday, the state has seen lower case numbers on Sunday and today.  There were over seven-thousand new cases on Saturday, but officials reported fewer than five-thousand cases Sunday and today.  Despite that data, a record of nearly 19-hundred patients are currently hospitalized for the coronavirus statewide, including 400 in intensive care.

Packers Flex Upcoming Game Time

The kickoff between the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts on November 22nd is being moved.  The original time was noon, but the NFL announced today it’s changing the time to just before 3:30 Central Time.  The Packers have dropped the last two games against the Colts who are currently 5-and-3.  The Packers have posted a 6-and-2 record.

Dunn Co. Urges Immediate Action

CVTC Breaks Ground for New Education Center

Construction work on the projects approved in the Chippewa Valley Technical College spring referendum began this week with a groundbreaking at the Manufacturing Education Center on Monday, Nov. 9. Baby Nancy, Jenga and sidewalk chalk are now in the National Toy Hall of Fame.  They were inducted in a ceremony at The Strong National Museum of Play, chosen from a list of 12 finalists including Lite-Brite, My Little Pony and Tamagotchi.  Baby Nancy was a Black baby doll with natural hair made by Shindana Toys in 1968, a community-owned company dedicated to making toys reflecting Black pride.  Sidewalk chalk was chosen because historians believe even the earliest humans played
