2021 Could Bring WI Wolf Season

The Wisconsin DNR expects an official wolf season to begin next fall.  The gray wolf is scheduled to be delisted in January which will allow hunting and trapping seasons in Wisconsin to resume. The delisting also returns management responsibilities to the states and tribes.  Right now the plan is to begin official wolf hunting season in early November.

WI Pumps Below National Average

The average cost of regular gas in Wisconsin remains among the lowest in the country.  Triple-A says the price per gallon in the Badger State is 1.90 today while the national average is 2.16.  Only a handful of states have lower prices.  The price at the pump is 1.79 a gallon in Appleton, 1.89 in Madison and a Nickle above 2 dollars in Superior and Pierce-St. Croix County.

Local Quarantine Recommendations Explained

Today, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has adopted the new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) options for reducing quarantine. These options will be implemented by the Eau Claire City-County Health Department beginning Monday, December 7, 2020, as recommended by DHS. The CDC, as well as Wisconsin DHS, both still recommend a 14-day quarantine as the safest option following exposure to COVID-19, as symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure. Checking In On Local Hotel’s Legal Issues

A local hotel that is commonly linked to legal troubles could soon be erased from the community. Eau Claire Police have recently issued a statement in reagard to Regency Inn and Suites. It has been determined that the location contributes to the criminal victimization of community members, particularly our vulnerable populations. Pipe Bombs Discovered in Marshfield Apartment

An apartment building was partially evacuated after it was discovered that resident had pipe bombs. It was on Thursday December 3rd at approximately 6:00pm the Marshfield Police Department responded to the 800 block of E Harrison St after a family member found suspected explosive devices in the apartment of a 70-year-old Marshfield male.  The preliminary investigation indicated the presence of suspected pipe bombs. Local Health Officials Prepare for Coronavirus Vaccine

Health officials in Eau Claire County are getting ready for coronavirus vaccine distribution. EC Police Respond to Drunken Break-In

The residents of an Eau Claire home locked themselves in their bathroom and called the police when they found an unknown person in their living room.  Eau Claire police say officers arrived at the home on the west side of town sometime yesterday to find a heavily intoxicated person lying on the living room floor, talking to themselves. Police say they took the person to the hospital for detox.  They were cited for public excessive intoxication.
