EC Schools Plan to Shift to Online Learning

Effective Monday, November 30, the Eau Claire Area School District will move all students to fully virtual learning for a temporary period. This transition will affect all grade levels. Rest Easy, Golden Boy

Green Bay Packers “Golden Boy” Paul Hornung has died at the age of 84.  Hornung was the NFL MVP in 1961 and played on four championship teams.  He also helped the Packers win their first ever Super Bowl in 1966 against the Kansas City Chiefs.  He was eventually inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986.  Hornung has been celebrated by Packers coach Vince Lombardi as “the greatest player [he] ever coached.”  He died in his hometown of

Lawsuit Filed In WI Ballot Count

A federal lawsuit filed Thursday is calling for ballots in three Wisconsin counties to be excluded from the count.  The three plaintiffs claim Milwaukee, Dane and Menominee counties were overwhelmed by illegal absentee ballots to change election results in favor of Joe Biden who the state.  They didn’t provide any actual evidence of voter fraud, but included stories from people who said they received multiple ballots.  The plaintiffs listed the county clerks, members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission and Governor Tony Evers as defendants.

WI Sees Bump in Deadly Accidents

Hunger Relief Efforts Get Boost in WI

Two hunger relief organizations in Wisconsin are getting ten-million-dollars to help feed hungry families.  Hunger Task Force and Feeding Wisconsin will use the funds to buy food, and for storage and transportation.  The donation is part of the state’s Food Security Initiative.  The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and Governor Tony Evers have invested 75-million-dollars into state agriculture and food industries since the pandemic began.

EC Updates Community Expectations Amidst Pandemic Spike

Today, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department is releasing revised COVID-19 Community Expectations. These Community Expectations were first released on October 15, 2020. Since that time, Eau Claire County has seen a dramatic and dangerous increase of COVID-19 spread and is posting updates to try and stop the spread in our community.
