A handful of distilleries in Wisconsin are getting a break for doing the right thing.
The FDA yesterday cancelled the 14 thousand-dollar fee it was planning to charge distillers in the state, and across the country, for turning their liquor into hand sanitizer. The FDA said distillers that rushed to make hand sanitizer during this spring’s shortage failed to register as drug makers.
