WI DHS Close to Website for Vaccine Rollout

The state of Wisconsin says they are about two weeks away from a website that will help people sign-up for the coronavirus vaccine. The Department of Health Services yesterday said the website should be up and running by February 15th. It will allow people to add their name, age, job, and risk factors to a database. From the Groundhog to the Badger

The badger statue will stay at the Wisconsin Capitol for at least two more years. The Navy yesterday agreed to extend its loan of the statue. The badger on top of a ‘Forward’ shield has been outside the governor’s office for about 30 years. The Navy asked for the statue to be returned last year, commanders want to move it to a Navy museum in Virginia. The delay will give the state some time to figure out a replacement. Search Continues for Suspect; Car found

Police in Oshkosh continue to search for teenager who is a person of interest in a deadly shooting at the Fox River Mall.  Authorities did recover a car earlier today they say is connected with yesterday’s shooting.   Police received a tip about the vehicle and found it in a driveway in the 200 block of West 20th Avenue.  When police went to the home to investigate they say four people became confrontational and were taken into custody.  Police are still

Free Legal Advice for WI Businesses

Two law organizations are providing small businesses with some free legal advice.  The State Bar of Wisconsin Business Law section and Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic will provide services this Friday with appointments beginning at 8:30 a.m.  There will be free consultations by Zoom or by phone for small businesses affected by COVID-19 and the economic crisis of 2020.  Businesses can get advice on finance and lending, insurance claims and coverage, taxes, leases and other issues.

Deadly Shooting Under Investigation

An investigation is underway into a deadly shooting on the Menominee reservation.  The FBI and Tribal Police are investigating the shooting that happened just before midnight on Chief Little Wave Road.  There was a report of a fight and someone heard gunfire.  When they arrived police found a man critically wounded who died at the scene.  Police do have a suspect in custody.

Special Meetings to Address Local Mask Mandates
