Chippewa Falls police are encouraging residents to lock up after several reports of stolen items out of cars. Police say several cars were broken into on the West Hill near Pearl Street. They say the cars weren’t damaged. Police are investigating.

The soldiers will assist with the medical mission for U.S. and coalition forces. The troops first head to Texas, then will deploy to the Middle East. Police say he shot and killed his wife, 30-year-old Mai Rue Vang, last weekend. Investigators say he admitted to the crime. Lo is being held in the Marathon County Jail on a million-dollars bond.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources last week said attendance at the state’s park last year jumped 22-percent, mostly because the coronavirus closed a lot of other summer options.
