Gas prices are down in Wisconsin for the first time in weeks. Gas-Buddy-dot-com reports a slight drop in the last week, down two cents. The cheapest price for a gallon of unleaded gas in the state today is two-dollars-and-44-cents. The most expensive in the state is 2.99.

County Administrator Kathryn Schauf told PBS Wisconsin the county will get about 20-point-three-million-dollars from the federal government. She says the money will be used to stimulate the community through public health, social services, broadband, and public schools projects. She called the funding a significant investment into the local economy.

There were 19-projects granted funds in Western Wisconsin. Three projects were awarded in Eau Claire County and two were awarded grants in Chippewa County.
Read MoreThe University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire baseball team made history over the weekend. If you were flipping through the paper, you may have seen this in The Leader-Telegram. They reported the team took the field for it’s first varsity game since 1995. The program was discontinued more than 20-years-ago and athletes have since been able to participate at the club level. The Blugolds lost to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The team’s home opener is set for April 2nd.
