MKE Health Teams Up with Bucks to Vaccinate Fans

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Health Department are teaming up to vaccinate basketball fans.  A mobile COVID-19 vaccination site will be at Fiserv Forum this Sunday when the Bucks host the Nets.  Fans 16-years-old and up can receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine from 1 p.m. through the conclusion of Sunday’s game.  After fans get their first dose, officials will be on hand to schedule their appointments for the second dose.

Website Established to Report Clergy Abuse

 Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announces a statewide effort to investigate clergy abuse.  The AG was joined by survivors and family members of abuse victims today to unveil a website and phone number where clergy abuse can be reported confidentially.  Kaul says the people of Wisconsin especially victims deserve an independent review of clergy and faith leaders abuse.  The website you can find with a CLICK HERE.

New Law Would Allow Worker’s Comp For PTSD

A new law will allow police officers and firefighters diagnosed with PTSD to receive workers’ compensation benefits.  Governor Tony Evers signed the Senate bill this morning.  It will allow payment of workman’s compensation benefits if a public safety officer is diagnosed with PTSD and the mental injury is not accompanied by a physical injury.  It also limits the liability for treatment to no more than 32 weeks.

Additional Charges Expected in Chippewa Co. Police Chase

Additional charges are expected after a police chase in Chippewa County. Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for lane deviations and left of center near CTH X and CTH XX. The Vehicle fled and got onto STH westbound with speeds reaching 100 mph. Chippewa Falls and Lake Hallie Police successfully deployed tire deflation spikes and the vehicle turned northbound on STH 53 as the front tires deflated. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says construction season is starting up and drivers will notice more crews performing highway and bridge work. Making Sense of WI Census Numbers

 Wisconsin added just enough people to not lose a seat in Congress in the latest Census. Here’s more with Trent Rice: The state now has just over five-point-six-million people and is the 20th largest state in the country. Wisconsin will keep its eight seats in Congress. That’s better than some of Wisconsin’s neighbors. Both Illinois and Michigan lost people in the Census, and both will lose a seat in Congress.
