Several counties in Northeast Wisconsin have reached the orange level of air quality. The air quality index is unhealthy for Marinette, Oconto, Door, Shawano, Waupaca, Brown, Outagamie, Kewaunee counties today. The orange category means air quality is unhealthy and sensitive groups like those with respiratory or heart issues are advised to stay indoors. Smoke from the wildfires in Canada and the western United States is the cause of the unhealthy air.

Dolphin, who is from Wausau, went into the river while fishing. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office says another fisherman spotted his body and reported it to authorities yesterday morning.

The idea is to count deer so the state knows how many deer can be taken during this year’s deer hunting seasons. Hunters and trapped bagged 218 wolves in just about three days earlier this year. DNR and activists came down hard on those numbers. Advocates think 130 wolves is too many as well.
