WI Vaccines Continue to Trend Down

Fewer people are getting the coronavirus vaccine in Wisconsin. The state’s Department of Health Services says doctors and nurses handed-out just over 31 thousand-doses last week. That’s down from 36 thousand-doses the week before, and down from 71 thousand-doses at the end of August. An Eau Claire man out hunting for deer says he got too close for comfort with a black bear. Dalton Roach says the bear climbed-up to his tree stand in Trempealeau County over the weekend. Eau Claire schools are updating the survey that shows a lot of kids are unhappy with school and don’t feel like they are accepted, but a recent reexamination shows that data might not have been accurate. Police Search For Suspect Who Crashed Into Squad Car

Local law enforcement are searching for two suspects they say crashed into a squad car while fleeing police early this morning.  Officers with the Town of Madison Police Department responded to the area near South Sunnyvale Lane for a report of someone shooting out of a car.  When police spotted the suspect’s vehicle, which had been stolen from Janesville, the suspects crashed into a squad car while trying to escape.  Both suspects fled on foot afterwards.  Officers also found a

Lake WI Motel Destroyed by Flames

A motel on Lake Wisconsin is destroyed after being engulfed in flames last night.  The Columbia County Sheriff’s’s Office said fire crews responded to Lucky’s Bridge Motel in Okee around 8:00 p.m.  It’s not clear how many people were inside the motel when the fire started, or what sparked the flames.  There were no injuries reported.  The Lodi Fire Department will be handling the investigation.

The Badger State is home to 41 of the 50 “drunkest” counties in the U.S.  According to a survey conducted by 24/7 Wall Street, Wisconsin had four times as many counties listed in the Top 50 than all other states combined.  The survey ranked each county by their excessive drinking rates, which included adults who either binge drink or drink heavily.  Going down the list, Badger State counties filled the top eleven spots.  In fifth place was Polk, followed by Pierce County,

Authorities in Dunn Co. Looking for Tips in Trailer Theft

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen 16 foot 2002 PJ Trailers MFG INC flatbed/car trailer bearing WI CA90880. The item is pictured below. Trailer has aftermarket metal silver fenders and is missing a piece of wood on the dovetail. Trailer was stolen form a storage unit location adjacent to the city of Menomonie. MKE Sees More Weekend Violence

 Add five more to Milwaukee’s shooting tally for the year. Milwaukee Police say five people were shot over the weekend, all of them survived. None of the shootings are believed to be related. Investigators say they have not made any arrests in any of the five shootings.

Night Flights Return to Madison

Madison’s Air National Guard unit will be flying at night this week. The 115th Fighter Wing is once again conducting night training exercises. The flights start tonight and run through Thursday. Commanders say all fights should be wrapped-up by 9 p.m. each night.

Amber Alert Issued, Search Continues

The search for three-year-old Major Harris is now into its fifth day. Police in Milwaukee issued an Amber Alert for him on Saturday, but say he was last seen Thursday. That’s the same day that police found his mother, 25-year-old Mallery Muenzenberger of Onalaska, dead at a home on Milwaukee’s north side. Yesterday, police say the person of interest in her death, 20-year-old Jaheem Clark shot himself as officers closed-in to arrest him. No one knows where the little boy
