Kyle Rittenhouse is getting grilled on the witness stand by the prosecution.  Kyle Rittenhouse became emotional on the stand as he testified in his own defense. The judge called for a brief recess. Dane Co. Grants to Support Local Art Scene

Dane County has six figures set aside for the local art scene, County Executive Joe Parisi yesterday announced 100 thousand-dollars in grants for local art organizations. There are 43 different grants and three capital grants included in the money. Parisi says the investment will do nothing but help the local arts scene.

EC Man Sentenced to Prison

It’s 15 years in prison for an Eau Claire man on child pornography charges. A federal judge yesterday sentenced 49-year-old Jay Liestman to a decade-and-a-half behind bars for sending child porn over the internet. Prosecutors say he sent a link to an undercover agent with a cache of hundreds of videos. This is not Liestman’s first child pornography case. He spent three years in state prison on child porn charges out of Eau Claire back in 2014.

ECFD Responds to Garage Fire

The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Crescent Ave Tuesday afternoon. The fire was in a garage and shed located behind a single family residence; the residence was unaffected.Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and salvaged several items for the residents. No injuries were reported.

Update Expected From Election Investigation

We’re going to get a look today at one of the investigations into last year’s election here in Wisconsin. Former Supreme Court Justice Mike Gableman is due before lawmakers this afternoon to provide an update on his investigation. Gableman has been focused on the so-called ‘Wisconsin Five,’ Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and Kenosha, and what they did with money from Mark Zuckerberg’s Center for Tech and Civic Life. Lawmakers expect details, and perhaps an update on possible criminal charges.
