A traffic stop leads to an arrest. It was on October 23rd, at approximately 2:16 a.m., a WI State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for deviation from designated traffic lane. The driver, who was identified as 31 year old David L. Boswell, showed signs of impairment, and admitted using illegal narcotics. The U.S. Postal Service needs to hire more than 500 holiday season workers in Wisconsin.  A Post Office on wheels, unofficially called the JCOW, or Job Center on Wheels, is traveling all over the state, making a daylong stop in Oshkosh on Friday.  The USPS Job Center on Wheels will be in Burlington on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wisconsin health officials are supporting the CDC’s call for COVID-19 booster shots.  The Department of Health Services said Friday it encourages people to get the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson boosters the CDC green-lighted this week along with boosters of the Pfizer vaccine.  People 65 or older who have received the Moderna vaccine can get a booster six months after their second of the original two-dose regimen.  Boosters also are available to people age 18 and older if they have underlying

A California pharmaceutical company is planning a 250-million dollar manufacturing plant that could bring 250 jobs to Dane County.  Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is expanding with construction beginning on the campus in Verona this winter.  An Arrowhead official says the jobs will include a mix of positions to be paid “five times the minimum wage.”  The company has a plant in Madison’s University Park on the West Side, along with operations in San Diego and Pasadena, California.  

A long awaited report confirms the election process in Wisconsin for the 2020 Presidential Election was secure.  The report on the election results was released today by the non-partisan group Legislative Audit Bureau.  The report did make 30 recommendations to improve elections including 18 issues for legislative consideration, but determined there was not widespread fraud in the 2020 vote. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms three-year-old Major Harris was murdered.  The medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy this morning and determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the Head.  The little boy had been missing since October 9th when he and his mother disappeared.  His mother Mallory Muslim Burger was found dead on October 14th but her son was not found with her.  His body was discovered yesterday in a storage container in Milwaukee.

The average price for regular gas in Wisconsin is three-cents-a-gallon higher than a week ago, but 23-cents lower than the national average.  Triple-A says the cost of gas across the Badger State today is three-dollars-and-14-cents and the national average is three-37.  Drivers are paying three-23 in Eau Claire and three-18 in La Crosse and St. Croix County.  The price at the pump is three-12 in Madison and Milwaukee, three-13 in Wausau, and three-15 in Racine.
