The battle over Wisconsin’s new political map is continuing. The Wisconsin Senate yesterday approved the maps drawn by Republican lawmakers one a party-line vote. Democrats at the Capitol want maps drawn by a commission that shift more seats their way. Republicans say Democrats have seats based in Madison and Milwaukee because that’s where their voters are. Governor Evers on Friday signed a new law that will send high school students’ information about apprenticeships in the state. Kids are already given information about college when they get their school report card. State Rep. Loren Oldenburg from Viroqua says the new information will expose soon-to-be high school graduates about the opportunities to learn a skill and get a job right away.

Read MoreA trained first responder attending the social justice protests in Kenosha testified he drew his own gun because he thought Kyle Rittenhouse was an active shooter. The second week of the Rittenhouse trial got underway today in Kenosha County. At one point Gage Grosskreutz said he put his hands in the air as Rittenhouse fired at people. Two men were killed in the gun assault and Grosskreutz was wounded. Rittenhouse has pleaded not guilty to the 2020 shootings.
Read MoreThree Wauwatosa police officers are recovering and a suspect is in custody following a shooting at a hotel. Police today say the three were injured at the Radisson Hotel late Saturday night. Two officers suffered two gunshot wounds and another officer was grazed by a bullet. Police were originally called to the hotel around 10:30 Saturday night because of shots fired on the second floor. While checking a room police were met with gunfire.

The Wisconsin State Building Commission has agreed, in late October approving $25 million for the project, part of $124 million approved for projects statewide.
