Milwaukee will learn in the coming months if it will host the Republican National Convention in 2024. Last night a Milwaukee delegation arrived home from Washington D.C. after making its final pitch to the RNC. Nashville, the other finalist city also made its final pitch yesterday. RNC officials say a final decision is likely by summer.

The tournament will be split between the University of Wisconsin’s women’s team rink LaBahn Arena and home of the Madison Capitols, Bob Suter Arena. The tournament, that was supposed to happen in Sweden back in January, was canceled due to the pandemic. Monday, USA Hockey announced the relocation to Madison for the week of June 6th through the 13th.

Read MorePolice say an Eau Claire man is in custody on charges he resisted arrest and fled from police this past weekend. The suspect is identified as 20-year-old Hunter Scheuermann. Police say they clocked him going 17 miles an hour over the speed limit when they began pursuit on Sunday and eventually reached speeds exceeding 90 miles an hour. He has also been charged with displaying a false license plate and operating while his license is suspended.
