Governor Evers took action on dozens of bills yesterday. He signed nearly three dozen measures, including a plan to close the state’s juvenile correctional facilities. The governor announced the 15 million-dollar effort to boost mental health services across the state earlier this week. The barriers spring-up, and are designed to stop speeding cars and trucks on the spot. The idea comes, of course, after police say Darrell Brooks Jr. sped through Waukesha’s Christmas Parade, killing six people and injuring more than 60 others.
