It was a rescue from the Mississippi River for a group of boaters over the weekend. The Genoa-Harmony Fire Department says crews rescued eight people and two dogs off of a stranded pontoon near the lock south of La Crosse. The boat’s motor died. No one was hurt, and everyone made it to shore.
