The Memorial High School SAFE (Students Advocating for Excellence) organization, Mayo Clinic and other community partners are sponsoring a mock car crash event in the Memorial parking lot beginning at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 12 The event is in advance of Memorial’s prom on Saturday, May 14, and is meant to create awareness on decisions that can affect every aspect of students’ lives. Read MoreMilwaukee’s weekend shooting total is expected to grow. Police in the city say 16 people were shot between late Friday night and early yesterday morning. That includes a triple shooting on Saturday and a triple shooting on Sunday. Just one person, a 16-year-old, died in one of the triple shootings. Milwaukee Police say they made just two arrests in one of the shootings, they are looking for suspects in all of the others.

That brings Barron County’s bird flu total to six cases, and over 245 thousand birds put down. Barron County has the most confirmed bird flu cases of anywhere in the state.
