Gov. Evers “Bails” on Bail Issue

President Trump Leads Early Poll

Former President Trump remains a favorite among the GOP.  The Conservative Political Action Conference wrapped up yesterday in Florida and then a straw poll was held.  Out of more than 25-hundred attendees, 59-percent voted Trump as the top presidential choice in 2024.  Trump spoke Saturday night, blaming President Biden for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and insisted a GOP comeback was on the way.

Oshkosh Looks to Drive Ahead for Post Office Trucks

The UAW continues to push to build the Post Office’s new mail trucks in Oshkosh.  The union held a rally outside of the Oshkosh Defense plant on Saturday.  Oshkosh has said it will build the new mail trucks at its plant in South Carolina.  The UAW wants them built in Wisconsin, and by union members. A Colfax man picks up a 6th OWI after speeding. Steven John Zachman, 45 years of age, from Colfax has been arrested by the Wisconsin StatePatrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense. On February 27, 2022 at approximately 02:07, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 312 at Losan Ave. for a speed violation. Madison Rally Supports Ukraine

Donation sets Marquette Up for Student Success

Marquette University is the recipient of a generous donation to build a Center for Student Success.  The 15-million dollar donation from Camping World CEO and Marquette alumnus Marcus Lemonis and wife Bobbi was announced yesterday.  The new center will offer students the latest skills development technology along with career coaching and counseling from a freshman’s first day all the way through to senior graduation.  The Lemonis were also present last night at Fiserv Forum to watch the Golden Eagles defeat

Champion Racer Honored in WI

A champion midget car race driver is posthumously honored in Sun Prairie.  Yesterday Kevin Olson’s life and accomplishments were celebrated at his home track of Angell Park Speedway.  During his career Olson won the U.S. Auto Club National Midget Championship twice and the Badger Midget Racing Association’s championship five-times.  Olson died from injuries he suffered in a roadway wreck in early February.

Oshkosh Workers Rally to Build Next Gen USPS Vehicle

An 8th OWI was picked up by a Black River Falls man. John Lindsey Whitewater, 55 years of age, from Black River Falls has been arrested by theWisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 8thoffense. On February 26, 2022, at approximately 9:18pm, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted atraffic stop on the Interstate 94 exit ramp at milepost 115 for an equipment violation.
