WI Coronavirus Cases And Hospitalizations Dip

There are fewer than 200 people in the hospital with the coronavirus in Wisconsin. The state’s Hospital Association yesterday said just 188 people are hospitalized with the virus, including just 41 in the ICU. Wisconsin’s hospitalizations are down 92 percent from their peak back in January. The numbers are now what they were last summer.

Rack ‘Um Up!

A Wisconsin bar is cleaning up after some unruly behavior by an unusual crowd.  Security footage showed a herd of deer running by Dublin’s Irish Pub in Oshkosh, about 50 miles southwest of Green Bay.  The bar took to Facebook to share video of one of the deers crashing through the main window of the establishment.  It’s unclear if the animal was hurt in the crash.  The bar also said they’re still open for business.

Draft Heads To Detroit

The NFL is taking the 2024 Draft to Detroit. The league yesterday said Detroit beat-out Green Bay as the host city for the draft in two years. The plan is to center the Draft in Detroit’s newly renovated downtown. Packer fans, as you can imagine, took to social media yesterday to express their disappointment.

Marshfield Utilities Warns of Disconnection

The moratorium on disconnection of electric service for non-payment will come to an end in April. To date, only a small amount of these Customers have contacted Marshfield Utilities to set-up a payment plan to get caught up on their bill. Lake Hallie Man Facing Several Charges, 4th OWI After Traffic Stop

On March 26, 2022, at approximately 1:30am, a Lake Hallie Police Officer was on routine patrol on County Highway OO at 110th St in the Village of Lake Hallie when he observed a dark colored pickup truck traveling northbound on County Highway OO. The truck would overcorrect as it came across the center line for an unsafe lane deviation. The officer learned the registered owner had revoked driving privileges as well. Victims Identified in WI Triple Homicide

The victims of a recent triple-homicide in Milwaukee are identified.  Police say Anthony Thompson, Tyaries McKinney, and Clarence Harris were shot and killed at an apartment near 54th and Mill on Milwaukee’s north side Sunday afternoon.  Still no arrests have been made.

WI Health Gets Perfect Score

University of Wisconsin Health gets a perfect score on the Human Rights Project’s Healthcare Equality Index.  The Human Rights Project says University of Wisconsin Health earned a 100 when being graded on four categories, LGBTQ-plus policies and training, LGBTQ-plus patient services, employee benefits and policies, and patient and community engagement.  University of Wisconsin Health is one of 496 hospitals in the country to receive a 100 score.

Wisconsin is one of the least stressed states in the country.  WalletHub says Wisconsin is the fourth-least stressed state.  WalletHub says Wisconsin ranks best in work-related stress, where it ranks sixth-best, and money related stress, where it ranks eleventh-best.  WalletHub says the least-stressed state is Utah and the most is Louisiana.
